The First such an Independence Day Celebration: BSF’s Trumpet, March-past of students, Honor of Families of Martyrs
Career Point Gurukul celebrates 71st Independence Day with families of Martyrs of Border Security Force (BSF) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) with immense pride and fervor. The fluttering of tricolor in the sky… Echo of the vibrant patriotic songs and band on one end, the trumpet of BSF at the other end, amidst this march-past of students seems conveying the message to live a disciplined life. This was the view of the Career Point Gurukul, Mohali where freedom was celebrated with great fanfare. Under the headship of the BSF and CRPF jawans, the students saluted the tricolor by making a march-past. This was probably the first such event on Independence Day in a private school in Mohali. The event was presided over by BSF DIG Harbaksh Singh Dhillon and CRPF Commandant Balihari Singh.
The Family of the Martyrs Honored: On the occasion, the family members of martyred soldiers were honored who sacrificed their lives for mother nation in protecting our boarder. The martyrs’ families were overwhelmed to get such honor and appreciation.
Elucidation of the Gallantry: On the occasion of Independence Day, screening of documentary film “Wall of Valor – a Tribute to the Martyrs” was screened to the students by ‘Our Police’ an NGO. The Producer Director of the film Ms. Beenu Rajput was present to enlighten the students towards the contribution of the Martrys
The Chief Guest of the Screening of film was Mr. Abhinav Kumar, IPS & IG of BSF and Guest of Honour were Mr. Kamal Arora, President of Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Academy and film actor Surendra Kumar etc.
