What is the CP Star?
CP STAR (Career Point Scholastic Test for Analysis & Reward) is a national-level scholarship and talent search exam conducted by Career Point for students of Class 7th to 12th. It is designed to identify a student’s academic potential, provide detailed performance analysis, and offer scholarships (up to 100% on fees) and academic support for the residential Coaching programs like NEET, JEE, NDA and Pre - Foundation courses.
When is the CP Star scheduled?
CP STAR will be conducted in two modes – offline and online:
Offline Test:
The offline CP STAR exam will be held on 21st December at the designated exam centre.
Online Test:
Students appearing in online mode can choose the exam date of their choice from the available dates shown in the enquiry/registration form.
While filling the form, the system will automatically display the available dates and the student will be prompted to select one online exam date as per convenience.
What time should I report on the day of the CP Star?
You should report to the exam centre by 10:00 AM on the day of the test. This allows enough time for verification and seating before the exam starts.
Where is the test venue?
The offline CP STAR test will be conducted at: Career Point Gurukul Campus, Landra–Banur Road NH 16, Village Tangori, Near Chandigarh International Airport, Mohali, Punjab – 140601.
What is the pattern of the CP Star?
The CP STAR exam is objective-type (MCQ) and follows this pattern for the CP Study Centre Network:
Classes 7th to 10th
- Science: 24 questions
- Maths: 16 questions
- MAT (Mental Ability): 10 questions
- Total questions: 50
- Duration: 1 hour
- Marks per question: 2
- Total marks: 100
- Negative marking: No
Classes 11th & 12th (PCM)
- Physics: 10 questions
- Chemistry: 10 questions
- Maths: 10 questions
- Total questions: 30
- Duration: 1 hour
- Marks per question: 4
- Total marks: 120

Who can appear for CP Star?
CP STAR is open to students of Class 7th to 12th, or those moving into these classes in the upcoming session. Any student in this class range who wants to prepare seriously for JEE, NEET, NDA or Pre-Foundation can appear for the test.
What rewards can I get through CP Star?
Top performers in each class (7th to 12th) are eligible for exciting rewards:

These rewards are given class-wise (for each class separately) and are linked to joining the offline Classroom Courses at Career Point Gurukul, Mohali.
Note: Students must join our offline Classroom Courses to be eligible for rewards and scholarships.
How is the scholarship decided based on CP Star scores?
Scholarships are awarded as per the CP Scholar Category, based on the percentage of marks scored in CP STAR. The tuition fee waiver ranges from 20% to 90% for different categories:
Category A (95% – 100%):
100% waiver on registration fee + 90% tuition fee waiver
Category B (90% – 95%):
100% waiver on registration fee + 80% tuition fee waiver
Category C (85% – 90%):
100% waiver on registration fee + 70% tuition fee waiver
Category D (80% – 85%):
Registration fee chargeable + 50% tuition fee waiver
Category E (75% – 80%):
Registration fee chargeable + 30% tuition fee waiver
Category F (60% – 75%):
Registration fee chargeable + 20% tuition fee waiver
Final scholarship is decided by Career Point Gurukul as per this scholarship criteria table and your CP STAR performance.
Is the scholarship applicable to hostel or school fees?
No. As per the scholarship conditions mentioned on the page:
Scholarship applies only on coaching (tuition) fees.
It is not applicable on hostel fees, school fees or any other student expenses.
Will there be an interview after the written test?
Yes. After the written CP STAR exam, there will be a personal interview conducted by Ms. Neetu Saini, Principal, Career Point Gurukul, Mohali.
This helps the school understand the student’s mindset, goals and suitability for the integrated residential program.
When will the results be declared?
We normally declare the CP STAR results within 24–48 hours of the test. Results are sent to students via WhatsApp and email, and are also uploaded on our official website for easy access.
Is the scholarship applicable for both Class XI and XII?
The scholarship awarded through this CP STAR is applicable for Class XI.
For Class XII, students are required to reappear for a scholarship test based on the Class XI syllabus to continue or upgrade their scholarship for the next academic year.
Can students or guardians dispute the CP Star result or scholarship legally?
No. As per the Legal Disclaimer / Dispute Resolution on the page, any disputes regarding the scholarship test will not involve legal proceedings. The decision of the Career Point Gurukul administration is final and binding.
How can I register for the CP Star?
You can register directly through this landing page:
